Teaching
While I primarily teach Chinese history courses, my MA background is an Interdisciplinary Tract in Chinese, which encompasses a broad range of knowledge. This knowledge is in history, language, and modern politics gets, which becomes incorporated in many of these courses to give students a more depth on how Chinses history influences the present. For example, through history, students get a better interpretation of the historical background, while providing a more detailed analysis on the role this history has played in understanding the decisions that China makes today.
I also have a Certificate in College Teaching, which has been instrumental in helping me better understand my students, their needs and challenges, and learning a variety of teaching methods to better interact and engage on course content. In spring 2023, I was also nominated for an outstanding teaching award.
